Secret Message Puzzle for English Learners
Below you'll find a secret message puzzle in three versions that we created for English learners — but I'm sure native speakers will enjoy solving it, too! :-)
If your children are in middle school, they can try the medium-difficulty version. If they're younger, they should start with the easiest version — the first one. The hardest version is definitely best suited for high schoolers or adults.
Happy puzzle solving! :)

Fallen phrase -- a quote in German
A FALLEN PHRASE PUZZLE
Originally, the letters were on the board, but they fell out of it. Now all the letters needed to solve the puzzle are located just beneath the column they belong to, but they are scrambled.
Your task is to put the letters on the board so, that the message, a quote from Heinrich von Kleist appears again.
Be cautious! Words are separated by black squares, not by the end of a line.
