Below, you will find a word search puzzle we created for English learners, though it can also be used in a regular ELA class. It works well as a homework assignment, or you can use it to provide extra work for early finishers.

Fall is approaching, and we are offering teachers a fall-themed word search puzzle for their Korean classes. This activity works well for students who finish early or as a simple homework assignment. The words are hidden in every direction, including diagonally and backward.

We used the following words in the puzzle:

단풍 : Fall foliage (leaves changing color on trees)

낙엽 : Fallen leaves

나뭇잎 : Tree leaves (general)

We created the crossword puzzle below for beginner Chinese learners. The hints are Hanzi words, and your task is to enter the Pinyin into the crossword grid. When you are ready, collect the letters in the gray squares and use them to spell out a word.

We created a crossword puzzle for English learners using the following adjectives and their opposites:

cold, colorful, dangerous, dry, empty, funny, short, slow, small, smooth, square, unbroken, weak, young

Their opposites serve as the hints for the crossword puzzle.

It can be used in an English class for reviewing the spelling of the listed adjectives, or in an ESL setting for learning the opposite words to given adjectives.
